It is time to overthrow the government?

With unemployment still high and both Republicans and Democrats being ineffective about it, is it time to put an end to Congress, the White House, and the Supreme Court? Who do we get to fund such an endeavor? We voted both ways and it didnt work. QED Voting will not change anything.

Answer: Unfortunately, no one would fund an overthrow. It would have to be staged by a large military force that would over power the US military and take over. There's no way the current US government would go down without another civil war.

Basically a coup would have to be staged and then the governemt would have to be handed right back to the ordinary people to start over.

This all sounds good in theory, but the economy would collapse. In fact, the entire global economy would collapse because there would be massive panic and the dollar would crash. The new world currency would become the Euro. Alliances would shift in the UN and let's not forget about the tensions between us and Iraq and N. Korea. They might try to nuke us while we're too busy killing each other.

Where are your rights in professing your beliefs? Only one is supported by Liberals.?

It does not matter what you believe, unless you are Communist, you have no freedom of speech in your faith! We hear it is a good thing? How? I can give you 35% of the scientific facts that support Evolution. But we can also get 65% that does not. This makes it a belief, no matter what we want to believe. It also shows those that restrict our freedom of speech, no matter what it is, are not true Americans and the biggest thing,. they have a special reason for doing so! Your freedoms against their foolish intellect! Over 90% of us believe in a Creation and even the worlds greatest Scientist says that it happened.. So what.. why do we continue to deny Science and facts for a political reason? We can see school shootings were because of the Atheist doctrine (basically Communist), and the school system denying but one faith system.. that of the Atheist.

Did we not hear guns were the problem and not the truth? Why do you elect liars that are in your face because you are not aware of these things? One must look at facts! The ACLU, which seems to get its way with the Liberal Supreme Court, was Communist founded. It does all to force one religion! This restricts you.. if Muslim, if Christian, if any other! We see this means 90% of us have no voice!

I watched the meeting and celebration of the Nobel Peace Prize. I do not get moved by music if it is Communist! History shows it has killed more people than all wars combined. So who is your President? Please be informed instead of giving ignorant answers as I have the evidence... Liberals only lie and I can respond to these. Earl

Ok, World Domination Question!? Could you help!?

Like many people, I have planned out American Dictatorship. Which will inturn lead to World Domination. First, I run for mayor of a major city like Seattle, Miami, New York etc. Then after my term, Govern that state. Again this will be about a 2 decade process. Then run for a senator position. After nearly two decades of political jobs I will run for president during the election (will take up to 4 years) hopefully I will be known enough to be considered. But I will run and support the side with more registered voters to it. Breaching at least 36 States for my campaign I will most likely win with the targets of a high population (California, New York etc.) If I win, when I win, (might take a few tries) I will lead 2 1/2 years perfectly, of what the people want. The part, I will pass an immigration law, but with an "accidental" loop hole there will be an act inside the act in water mark erasing the constitutions meanings and all laws established so far. But a law cant be passed until the Most of the votes except it in Congress, and the Supreme Court. Which basically I will have a couple "partners" with me to be chosen for Legislative. About 11, six of which I will appoint to Supreme Court, but with experience I will talk to the Legislative group and work things out. If the Act in an Act gets passed than Immigration patrol is heated up. But inside the Water Mark Act, it bans all made laws and any laws made by any one but me. I will not get impeached, one the act in an act says so, 2 I am commanding cheif I empower. In a years time the country will fall into complete chaos hopefully causing an economic downslide resulting in a poor uncivilized country, and in the middle of that time I will start a war with vicious countries blaming them for my peoples unhaps to gain support. In half of a year the United States will have no exports or imports, and be in the midst of Famine, War Torn, No Resources left. Does this remind you of anything, Thats right (GERMANY BEFORE HITLER CAME INTO POWER; JUST LIKE GERMANYS SITUATION, EVERYTHING WILL BE THE SAME, BUT MAN CAUSED ALL OF THIS) Using Propoganda I will gain support for a reelection for me. If and When I win, There will be no Federal Branches left. No one but me in power. Because the act in the act stated that. I will again (like Hitler) Blame all of our problems on the Mexican Race, and The Polictical Powers that once stood. After a couple of months time I will create and finish my own military (Im not going into specifics) full of 35 Million Trained Men and 14 Million Trained Woman, all of which were either already part of the military or drafted. I then will throw all political powers in prison and create laws based on my opinions and declare myself dictator, I will by military force destroy the US Supreme Court and Congress Building and the U.S. Library and Museum containing the constitution. Which the countries all former beliefs are destroyed, then I imprison certain races, in prisons, and concentration camps, KILL ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS, even the 11 people who helped me get into power. I will invade certain countries in order and with a certain amount of people Avoiding the learned mistakes that Hitler, Napolean, Kim Johng, Joseph Stalin, and Fidel Castro made. Again not going into specifics, but in the 20 years ending my power, I will either get my wife pregnant (if I have one) or rape a woman. About 5 years after the baby is born, I will kill the mom (the mom has been imprisoned since the baby was been weened) and imprison and kill all of her relatives. By My childs 15th year, I will imprison All of my relatives, kill half of them (Killing wife and relatives to avoid power mixup when I pass away) Though all of the time I have raised my son I have taught him my way. Then I will make my word to my own government I established to kill all of my blood relatives and my wifes blood relatives after I die, and when I die to have my son take the thrown. I will not go any further into specifics! What do you think? Is it a good plan? Do you want to add anything?

Answer: WOW!!!! I mean i have always thought of taking over the world but never got that indepth. I mean i always just planned using mind controlled cats, and ninja turtles but thx for the plan.

which amendments corrected unfair treatment towards african american and women?

Answer: There were three Civil Rights Amendments to the Constitution following the Civil War: The 13th Amendment which abolished slavery, the 14th Amendment which guaranteed equal protection of the law and the 15th Amendment which guaranteed that voting could not be denied based on race, color or previous servitude.

The Constitution has never been specifically amended to ensure equal rights for women. The 19th Amendment guaranteed women's right to vote, but did not address discrimination based on gender. The Equal Rights Amendment which was introduced in 1923 has never been ratified. It finally came up for a vote in 1972. 35 states have ratified this amendment, but it needed 38 state votes to become law. During the 70s, the Eagle Forum headed by Phyllis Schafly basically came out and fed on people's fears of women being drafted into the military and other such garbage. This pretty much killed the amendment as it had a 7 year deadline for ratification.

The US Supreme Court has used the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment to invalidate laws that discriminated against women.

Why havent Dems & Reps merge into 1 party since they are all basically same bunch of lying backstabbing cons?

Answer: They're very different. Republicans, the same ones who approved derivatives and credit swaps and who paid off the bankers with taxpayer bailout money now want to repeal the regulations Democrats put in place to stop this from ever happening again. IOW, the same people who caused it, now want to do it to you all over again.

No Democratic President would have lied us into a war with Iraq. It took Republican neocon freaks to do that.

Where the issue is the manipulation of people:
The right believes that the end justifies the means, so they will say anything.
The left believes that the entire process has to be clean, or the end’s not going to be clean.

Liberals vote for things that are good for the middle class.
Conservatives only vote for things that are good for the uber-wealthy, and try to block anything that's good for the middle class.

Obama and the Democrats have been doing everything they can to improve our economy and put Americans back to work.

The Repubs are doing everything they can to make sure the economy doesn't improve, and in fact that nothing good happen for anyone as long as Obama is our President:

Dont you just ove how "fair and balanced" the liberal media is?

http://news.yahoo.com/embattled-michigan-supreme-court-judge-quit-amid-ethics-004902238.html

How far down did you have to read in this article before you found out the judge who is stepping down under allegations of ethics violations is a Democrat?

If this judge was a Republican, you wouldnt have to read past the first paragraph to find THAT out. In fact, how many times have we seen lame-stream liberal media organizations headline articles like this by saying something like "Republican Judge from Michigan Supreme Court to step down amid allegations of (fill in the blank)"?

If the offender is one of their own, they downplay it as much as possible or try to sweep it under the rug, but when its someone from the other camp they make sure that persons political affiliation is IN YOUR FACE...

What does this tell you about the liberal media?
So-called "Colonel" Fessender, you obviously wouldnt know a fact if it bit you on the @$$. Who died and made you God?

Answer: The better question is why does it matter which party a judge who is stepping down under allegations of ethics violations is part of. If we defend or condemn anyone's acts simply based on an R or D behind their name then we're not interested in the truth anyway. Politicians serve ALL of us and should be held accountable by ALL of us regardless of whether or not you voted for them. Partisanship is only a benefit to politicians because it grants boasting rights to a built-in support of half(ish) the People.

All media is biased. You get better ratings by telling people what they want to hear and basically confirm that they're right for wanting to hear that. Unfortunately this only breeds an uninformed group of people perpetuating lies or at best half-truths.

Try this: If the two sides are saying the same thing (i.e. Obama favors an assault weapons ban) then it's likely true. When both sides tell you what that will do (i.e. Left says it will end all crime and violence everywhere. Right says it will plunge us into chaos where gangs roam the streets killing everyone) then it's likely exaggerated and you have to use your common sense, values or research to form your own opinion on what that policy will actually do. If at any point they show a politician speaking then assume he\she is technically telling the truth but simultaneously lying and that the clip is taken out of context or chopped.

Supreme Court Update: Special “Why Are You Not Drunk Already ...

Let's get to recapping what you already know because you are reading Things on the Internet: The Supremes gutted the Voting Rights Act with a complicated and cute little number that basically ensures you'll be seeing some delightfully ... The Supreme Court struck down a central portion of the Voting Rights Act on Tuesday, effectively ending the practice in which some states with a history of racial discrimination must receive clearance from the federal government ...

Is this the vote divide? in political issues? are these important?

from another answer.......Ask why they believe in killing babies, giving money to those who are lazy, allowing animal rights, demoralizing the troops, and tolerating gays? Why are these the only issues in the popular politics? It seems people only care about these,,,,,,are not these basically insignificant compared to allowing corporations and the super wealthy to have too much power over the political arena...

Answer: One of the reason that things like abortion and gay equality are NATIONAL issues to the voters is because the U.S. Supreme Court has misinterpreted the Constitution on those subjects and turned them into national policy.

If you want the Congress to focus only on issues which are of national importance, tell the Supreme Court to do it's job right and stop misinterpreting the Constitution as regards to abortion and gay rights so that those issues can be dealt with solely on the state level, where they belong.

When (if ever) will the Supreme Court decide if this years NDAA provisions are constitutional?

Answer: Don't you understand? The supreme court doesn't give a rats ass about the constitution.

check this out;

Ron Paul is for the US Constitution and against the neo-conservative / socialist movements that are more commonly referred to as Republican and Democrat parties. It's all about buying votes with money stolen from the national treasury. Think I'm wrong? Why don't you read the US Constitution and an essay about Col Dave Crockett, "Not Yours to Give."?

Check this out'

Both MSM parties (republicans and democrats) are heavily reliant on emotion. (the voters are a jury that has proven to be incapable of making logical decisions) please consider this;

I look up bills on govtrack.us. I can also see the bill sponsors and voting record of senate and congress.

At least w/ SOPA King B Hussein Obama will not need to sit and wait w/ his internet kill switch. It will be done automatically. In addition please consider this;

FEMA camps and NDAA are the real thing. (just like an Orwellian Utopia) You'll be gettin' the eff out of dodge to avoid some kind of urban uprising because of a disaster or emergency and about 30 or 40 miles out of town traffic will stop. Military stormtroopers will walk through stopped traffic and warn people to stay in their cars. When you get to the roadblock ahead you will be told to get out of your car (leave your keys and belongings in the car and DO NOT bring any weapons.) Then you will wait in a holding area for a bus and go to one of their internment facilities for in-processing. Hopefully you will not get to play any of their games (waterboarding, solitary confinement, etc) But don't worry, 6 fully staffed waterboards means you won't have a long line to wait in.

NDAA (just signed into law by Barack Hussein Obama) will be used to authorize the whole thing, Did you read the book or see the movie "1984"? That's what it is. It allows any federal agency to declare an emergency and use the military forces to impose martial law. What they are doing in the mid east (door to door searches without warrants or any due process whatsoever) is only a rehearsal of what they have in store for us here. This is an article I wrote for another section.

Do the police need a warrant to search me or my property? Under aspects of the US Constitution, all persons are protected from unwarranted searches and any other form of arbitrary harassment. Unfortunately modern courts have misinterpreted the intentions of the founding fathers who authored the US Constitution and Bill of Rights to give the police the power at their discretion to use "probable cause." Police should not be allowed to lawfully act on suspicions or whims, and any action against any person should be deemed unconstitutional. This also includes any electronic surveillance such as wiretaps, directional mics, etc. Of course under aspects of the "Patriot Act" they will claim that it is to protect us from terrorists. They also claim that states need to implement a REAL ID program so that sheeple can be digitally mapped for easy identification to once again... protect us from terrorists. Meanwhile, the southern border is wide open to basically let in whoever wants to come for whatever reason.

The fact is this; the enforcement of drug and firearm prohibition has allowed the government to turn this country into a pig powered police state and everyday it is becoming more and more like the USSR. You might like all of this "protection" but personally I prefer to protect myself. If you are the kind of person that wants to give up your liberty for security then please go somewhere else like China or N Korea.

Answer: Well thought out, but a horrible idea.

Justices Will Hear CHALLENGE to Voting Rights Act which could END RACED BASED REMEDIES?

Ironical that all those who voted for Obama who are strong advocates of Affirmative Action could by the same casting of their vote have once and for all killed and ended reverse discrimination practices like Affirmative Action.

The Supreme Court agreed yesterday to examine whether a central component of landmark civil rights legislation enacted to protect minority voters is still needed in a nation that has elected an African American president.

The court will decide the constitutionality of a provision of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 that seeks to protect minority voting rights by requiring a broad set of states and jurisdictions where discrimination was once routine to receive federal approval before altering any of their voting procedures.

The Supreme Court has upheld the requirement in the past, saying the intrusion on state sovereignty is warranted to protect voting rights and eliminate discrimination against minorities. But challengers say it ignores the reality of modern America and "consigns broad swaths of the nation to apparently perpetual federal receivership based on 40-year-old evidence."

"It has the potential to be the most important election-law case this court has heard," said Richard L. Hasen, an elections expert at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, adding that it raises the possibility that "the remedy that was once constitutional is now unconstitutional."

The case comes to a court, led by Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., that has become increasingly skeptical of race-based remedies.
http://current.com/items/89702986/justices_will_hear_challenge_to_voting_rights_act.htm

Answer: I fail to see how this would end "race-based remedies." It would merely remove a requirement that certain states receive federal approval before changing their voter requirements.

Those states in the past had race-specific rules for voting eligibility, and needed basically to have some supervision to stop their racist policies. It may or may not still be needed with regard to voting.

The list goes on and on and these are just the main points. The federal governments practice of tyranny and coercion is longstanding and insatiable. When will you decide that enough is enough? Why do you trust a mafioso like entity that enforces its collective will on the populous by force? Is this what the Founders wanted? Is this freedom? Is this liberty?

Answer: You left out some really big ones.

Clinton (actually this was Gore's baby) - CDA which essentially stripped all Americans of free speech on the net making even cursing a felony punishable by years in prison and or large fines.

Clinton - Jailing author of PGP essentially for refusing to write a back door for the US government into his software. The Clipper chip debacle which almost passed except for a surge of public rage again to be sure Americans had no privacy.

Clinton - Carnivore, the very software that now listens to all internet traffice in the US as well as much more scanning for people saying anything the government doesn't feel appropriate.

Bush Sr - Rico act which has essentially made US law enforcement into the worlds largest crime ring, largest in history. Many local and federal law enforcement agencies actually budget based on Rico siezures. The deffinition of organized crime is now so loose that if 2 or more people participate it becomes a Rico matter, yet the Rico is in direct conflict with the bill of rights both in words and intent.

No knock warrents which leave who knows how many innocent Americans dead each year. The most recent I believe was a 17 yr old girl. Armed masked men storming a building without warning, the amazing thing is that more people are not killed by this brutal practice.

We have allowed ourselves to loose sight of what this nation was founded for and meant to be.Allowed ourselves to be goaded from one hysteria to another trading our rights for security. The latest such act is Obama's health care sham which does nothing to provide health care to people, raises not lowers the costs of health care and infringes on the rights of people. If left standing will cause millions to be imprisoned and millions more locked in desperate poverty as they struggle to pay compounding fees and interest over lapse of coverage fines.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100701/ap_on_re_us/us_chicago_gun_ban

CHICAGO – With the citys gun ban certain to be overturned, Mayor Richard Daley on Thursday introduced what city officials say is the strictest handgun ordinance in the United States.

The measure, which draws from ordinances around the country, would ban gun shops in Chicago and prohibit gun owners from stepping outside their homes, even onto their porches or garages, with a handgun.

Daley announced his ordinance at a park on the citys South Side three days after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Americans have a right to own a gun for self-defense anywhere they live. The City Council is expected to vote on it Friday.

"As long as Im mayor, we will never give up or give in to gun violence that continues to threaten every part of our nation, including Chicago," said Daley, who was flanked by activists, city officials and the parents of a teenager whose son was shot and killed on a city bus while shielding a friend.

The ordinance, which Daley urged the City Council to pass, also would :

• Limit the number of handguns residents can register to one per month and prohibit residents from having more than one handgun in operating order at any given time.

• Require residents in homes with children to keep them in lock boxes or equipped with trigger locks.

• Require prospective gun owners to take a four-hour class and one-hour training at a gun range. They would have to leave the city for training because Chicago prohibits new gun ranges and limits the use of existing ranges to police officers. Those restrictions were similar to those in an ordinance passed in Washington, D.C., after the high court struck down its ban two years ago.

• Prohibit people from owning a gun if they were convicted of a violent crime, domestic violence or two or more convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Residents convicted of a gun offense would have to register with the police department.

• Calls for the police department to maintain a registry of every handgun owner in the city, with the names and addresses to be made available to police officers, firefighters and other emergency responders.

Those who already have handguns in the city — which has been illegal since the citys ban was approved 28 years ago — would have 90 days to register those weapons, according to the proposed ordinance.

Residents convicted of violating the citys ordinance can face a fine up to $5,000 and be locked up for as long as 90 days for a first offense and a fine of up to $10,000 and as long as six months behind bars for subsequent convictions.

"Weve gone farther than anyone else ever has," said Corporation Counsel Mara Georges.

Still, the mayor, whose office is trying to craft an ordinance that will withstand legal challenges, had to back off some provisions hed hoped to include, including requiring gun owners to insure their weapons and restricting each resident to one handgun.

Georges said it would be expensive for homeowners to include guns on their homeowners and renters insurance policies, so such a requirement could be seen as being discriminatory to the citys poorer residents. Limiting the number of handguns could be seen as discriminatory to people who owned weapons before the citys ban went into effect in 1982 or before they moved into the city.

"We can limit the place in which those handguns can be located," she said, before adding a not-so-veiled swipe at the court: "For instance, the Supreme court does not want them coming into the courthouse."

Still, Daley indicated that no matter what was included in the ordinance, he expects legal challenges.

"Everybody has a right to sue," he said.

-------------------------

Basically, arent they just sidestepping the Supreme Court ruling? And should people sue? They are impeding peoples right to exercise the Second Amendment to private gun ownership. Making it as tough as possible.

Is this right? Is it fair? I equate it to southern states doing all they can to restrict blacks from the polls during the Civil Rights era.

Answer: Yes, this will make it harder for poor people to shoot each other. That is definitely a violation of their rights. ∠°)

Both MSM parties (republicans and democrats) are heavily reliant on emotion. (the voters are a jury that has proven to be incapable of making logical decisions.)

I look up bills on govtrack.us. I can also see the bill sponsors and voting record of senate and congress.

Can you explain a right wingers definitions of democracy and republic? why do they badmouth democracy so much?

here is what one said to a question I saw asked on this board. Of course the answer the right winger gives has nothing to do with reality or something you would find in an encyclopedia. He basically makes up his own definitions and goes out of his way to paint democracy in the extreme...saying its bad cause 51% of the people can vote to kill the 49%...blah blah blah.

Why do you think right wingers go out of their way to make even a legitimate represenative democracy with elected leaders and a stable government with judges and supreme courts and a constitution still out to be anarchy??

"A democracy is uncontrolled majority. A republic has the rule of law; the majority cannot do whatever they want. For example, if 51% of a democracys citizens wanted to kill you for no reason, they could. However, they would not be able to do that in a republic (assuming murder is illegal). A republic is not a representative democracy; democracy is democracy whether it is direct or representative. A republic may incorporate representation in its legislative process, but the defining characteristic is the rule of law (the Constitution in the U.S., for example)."
so right wingers....a representative democracy cant have a constitution and constitutional protections of individual and minority rights?

lol

see what I mean...they go out of their way .."its mob rule" this other one says.

it has to be mob rule...all democracy...must be an anarchy and mob rule....

I wonder why they hate democracy so much. Is it because they themselves do not believe in a government that serves the will of its people? is it because you fascists prefer a govt that serves the will of a few over the many?

I am on to you cons..you dont fool me.
